Reading at Sea

2014. Reading at Sea. A reading event organised as part of It's Not on Any Map; True Places Never Are (curated by Maria Tanner). To accompany the event Sarah made and printed a small edition of alternative maps. One side of the document contains images of the earliest maps of Earth. The reverse conveys a series of images taken from a depth-sounder screen aboard a boat travelling the sea route taken on the day of the reading event. These screen grabs serve as an alternative account of our journey.
