Turning with Birds and Ice

(duration: 10 minute) is a moving-image and spoken-word piece made in collaboration with Ardmore's Foróige Group in Co. Waterford. The work is a creative response to the subtle changes in the local landscape, as indicators of the migratory patterns of seabirds and whales in the area.

We worked with aemi (a group dedicated to promoting and circulating experimental moving image in Ireland) in selecting 'Adrift' by Inger-Lise Hansen and 'Mountain Fire Personnel' by Alex Tyson, to screen alongside the piece we made. The three works were screened at the Community Hall, Ardmore in December '19.

(The project was funded by Creative Ireland and Waterford Arts.)
